Problem with Worx compact circular saw. How do I lock the rotating blade guard in place? I pressed the red spindle lock button on the right side of the saw, but nothing happened.

Top Comment: The spindle lock is to stop the blade from spinning so you can remove the blade. The guard doesn’t have a lock. It’s there to protect you from being cut from the blade. Only way to keep the guard up is to rig it. And then you’re not going to be safe when you’re using the saw. But I guess the people who work at the ER need to pay bills to, so go ahead and rig it!
Has anyone actually worked with a Worx Jaw Saw?

Top Comment: The thing look gimmicky as hell, but dang it, I have 50 feet of hedge installed by the previous homeowner that is an absolute monster every year. The branches can become more than a lopper can handle in a single year and it grows like kudzu. It also has mini shards that get into your skin and infect. I could take the whole thing down but we are busy with other projects. This just seems like it would work.
Anyone with a Jared Greene (File & Hammer Saw Works) saw? Feedback?
Main Post:
After a poor experience with another saw maker, that left me canceling my order after waiting over 7 months, a fellow redditor suggested this guy. He seems new, but also seems to have a good product and has his act together.
Anyone have one of his saws and can provide feedback?
Top Comment: The best on the market is all I have to say. He knows more about sharpening a saw than anyone. If you go to the saws collecting Facebook page and ask this question, I can guarantee you won’t hear a single bad thing. He is also a great guy and will answer any question you have.
As a kid I saw a lot of Tom Anderson Guitar Works ads in my mags. Does anybody play these? Were/are they any good?

Top Comment: There was a time when most of the studio session players had an Anderson in their arsenal.
What would this saw be worth, all I know is that it works and looks like it's a DeWalt model 7700 radial arm saw "automatic brake"

Why don't doctors tell you this before they start cutting?

Isn’t it illegal to use the words “we’re hiring” in an MLM recruitment pitch?
Brand gas Pole Saw that works good with 2 (or 3) extension poles?

So sick of the Ryobi 2 cycle power head garbage, I get maybe 50 hours out of some of them before they give all types of problems, takes forever to start, stalls etc. I'm the type that I wouldn't even steal a grain of rice but I feel nothing wrong that I have to keep buying a new one and switch the cover to make it look new and return the old one in the box to depot/lowes, I'll even email Ryobi that I did this so hopefully they do better.
Their 4 cycle power head isn't bad, I used that professionally for years but when used with a hedge clipper attachment or as a sidewalk edger upside down it burns the oil. Now I use 35cc Honda 4 cycle string trimmer (and as an edger) which has a patented oil slinger 4 cycle which can be used in any position and doesn't burn oil, great machine, Husqvarna 4 cycle trimmer is same it actually has a Honda engine inside it, I change the oil on time and it runs amazing after many years of abuse, unlike the Ryobi 2 cycle barely works right out of the box.
But I already have all the Ryobi attachments, hedger, pole saw, mini tiller, stick edger for cutting new beds etc. And these boom clamp/coupling doesn't fit the better brands like Honda, Stihl and maybe echo.
I will still keep all this ryobi stuff plus the power head as backups, but one thing that really pisses me off is when I'm using the Ryobi pole saw with 2 extension attachments (total reach of like 20 feet plus an A frame ladder good for trimming limbs etc as I usually don't climb any trees or they're too small to climb anyway), it just doesn't engage the chainsaw usually, and I'm giving it gas to try and pop it into action but that can burn out the clutch too.
I noticed that Keith landscaper guy on youtube use 2 maybe even 3 extensions with an articulating hedge clipper attachment on I think it was Stihl brand and seems to work like a charm.
Which pro brand power head power head should I buy especially that the shafts on the extension poles are robust and will work as they should? I think when attaching multiple extensions it sorta bends the inner drive shafts but I flops it each way or try and hold it straight up and it still usually doesn't engage the chain. If I loosen the chain it helps but it's as if it's got half inch sag clearance between the bar and chain which is no good and last thing I want is to bind up with a derailed chain that high up in the tree and then have to cut it free with a manual telescopic pole saw. Th pole saw attachment itself also sucks, it sucks in and jams itself on stringy type overgrown hedge branches that are like 3/4" which is too thick for a hedge trimmer and takes much longer to manually use loppers on so I just sorta hack at it with the pole saw and then go back and make all clean non shredded healthy cuts with manual loppers.
I love the 4 cycle stuff, I have two top of line Makita backpacks similar to the Honda 4 cycle trimmer which never gave a problem really as long as you change the oil on time and keep a clean filter. But 4 cycle power heads tend to be heavy, after hours and hours it can be fatiguing - trimming high stuff and reaching for things it's sorta working those shoulder muscle like a straight arm shoulder raise exercise which even like dudes on steroids don't put up huge weights for. But I do like the Honda and might get the 25cc power head which is a little lighter than the 35cc but only if 2 or preferably 3 extension poles plus the pole saw will actually work as expected?
I think it's between Honda 4 cycle (heavy but reliable) or 2 cycle stihl or echo or what other brands? Cost isn't an issue. I would like to use electric but I need the power or gas plus to not have to keep several batteries charging on stand by for longer projects.

the stihl pro pruners are like $750 after tax and everything and likely have to get from a dealer and do that whole song and dance and they only reach 12 ft too like the ryobi etc cheaper ones you can get for ~$300 or less used and that's with the two 3 foot extension poles and the power head (which sucks as mentioned but can swap in box) and the stihl can't use other attachments. The stihl is nice it has a square shaft is more rigid but theirs and I think all attachment systems just use the round shafts which idk if they're more reliable than the ryobi garbage and I don't think you're supposed to even put more than 1 extension pole on any brand hence the ryobi often doesn't engage is more time messing with the tool trying to get it to bend the shaft to engage, plus can burn your clutch when doing this but the parts are cheap but are just un-usably poor quality.
So IDK what I'll upgrade to yet. I don't want to use manual but there's ~$400 manual ones with very high quality and stays-sharp blades that are like $200 each and more curved and better than the cheaper manual one I've been using which reaches 24 ft plus an A-frame ladder can reach much more but when there's a lot to prune doing manual isn't really an option. I might look into some sort of tree climbing ascender where I don't have to spike into the tree, something I can throw a rope over and grappling hook the main line to and then just carry a light small battery saw up with me but really I'm not comfortable high up in trees let alone some are rotted limbs hence pruning it or no limbs available to hook into.
I might source one of these $750 stihls used for like $500 and usually I'll just use the 9 footer (plus a ladder) of a pro brand power head I can use my other attachment hedge trimmer etc with. I might just buy the 4 cycle ryobi again which was fine most of the time except used upside for edger/hedger but it's good as a beater for torque required work like cutting new beds w a stick edger, mini tiller corners etc, and if it breaks the power heads are cheap replaceable I've gotten a lot of use out of the ryobi 4 cycle just not the new series of 2 cycles. And when needed I can use the used $500 stihl HTY 131 HT 134 etc type 12 footer which won't give me the frustration of it not engaging or risking burning the clutch like connecting 2 three foot extensions to a stihl/pro power head which I'm not sure if is even that much more robust/engages always compared to the ryobi double extension pole scenario. And then the really good pro type manual 24 footer (or just the ~$200 blade) on just a cheap $25 24 ft Mr Long arm pole which is floppy at 24 ft but if the blade is good it's not bad, and arborists reviewed these $100-$200 Silky brand blades said had for years is strongest type and never needed to sharpen although if mini files available I don't mind sharpening it.
Does Saw palmetto work?

Hey, I saw some pills on Amazon for the prostate; it had b6 zinc and saw palmetto. Any thoughts on this?
Top Comment: The supplement(s) that this post & the user below are promoting are meant for BPH and generic prostate health (only slightly substantiated), not for chronic prostatitis. We lack any concrete data showing that this supplement can help CPPS/Prostatitis.
